WHAT IS SUMMER ACADEMY?
Promoting Design Education & Skills
SPIKE Studio Summer Academy inspires middle and high school youths from under-resourced communities to become better creative thinkers and problem-solvers. With the support of dedicated volunteers and instructors, students learn about architecture, construction, engineering, development, and the creative fields from industry professionals, sketch and construct building models, and create design solutions for real-life projects.
We partner with universities, public institutions, and architecture, engineering, construction, development, and creative firms across Atlanta to bring their expertise, volunteers, and resources to this program. Join our community of change-makers.

SPIKE Studio provides students with high-quality education about the architecture, engineering, construction, and development sectors led by college professors and industry volunteers.

This summer at Spike Studio at Georgia Tech, you’re more than campers — you’re changemakers. Get ready to help shape the future as we take on an exciting challenge: reimagining the historic Alonzo Herndon Stadium into a vibrant adaptive reuse space for this year’s World Cup.
