
Darral Tate Jr. is an Atlanta-based Architect at Moody Nolan. A 2019 graduate of Kennesaw State University, Darral has dedicated his career to bridging the gap between underrepresented communities and the architecture profession. Since 2020, he’s led initiatives focused on equity, mentorship, and professional development, collaborating with local firms and student organizations like AIAS and NOMAS to create impactful programming.
He serves as Vice Chair of SPIKE Studios and is the current Chair of the AIA National Associates Committee (NAC). He also served as 2024 Vice Chair of the (NAC), the 2023 Associate Director to the AIA Board, and 2022 Associate Rep. to the AIA Strategic Council. His advocacy has earned him the 2024 AIA Georgia Presidential Citation and the 2025 Emerging Architect Award. Passionate about uplifting overlooked voices, Darral aims to build a more inclusive future for the profession.
